Smartphone Data Capture

When data capture requirements are beyond the capabilities of paper,  a smartphone is the obvious most cost effective choice for the mobile workforce.

Data Stored Off-line

All data is stored locally on the devices and only synchronised when required. This has a enormous advantage over other on-line based systems in that the system does not need to be connected to the internet to continue to operate.

Support for Large Databases

pocket2web and android2web take advantage of the increased storage space offered by Secure Digital (SD) Cards, enabling access to very large datasets, ideal for stock ordering/auditing.

Barcode Scanning

Support for any major scanning hardware that supports HID (Human Interface Device) input. Android version supports scanning via the built-in camera

Mobile Printing

Print receipts, orders, statements including signatures via compatible printers (currently support Zebra range of printers, including the low cost bluetooth printer mz320). Zync are a registered EMEA software partner for Zebra, to ensure you get the best support for your hardware.

Signature Capture

Signatures are captured via a stylus or finger depending on device type. Data stored as an image with the person's name.

Image Capture

Photos can be taken and associated with the relevant questionnaire data and store location information. Option available to watermark photos with call details and FTP access for bulk downloading

GPS Location

On compatible Android devices, the GPS location (or Mobile Phone Triangulation) is taken at the start of a call and when synchronisation occurs

Ambersync

Our in-house synchronisation application provides a 128bit secure data transfer service to compatible Smartphones (see data capture matrix for supported devices).

Fast & Efficient

Designed from the ground up work with Smartphones, all data is optimised to make the synchronisation time as short as possible. To help this it supports connection to broadband via USB, WIFI, or any mobile network data protocol (eg 3G, HSDPA etc).

Client Support Tools

Bundled with the synchronisation application is a free on-line support tool (see slideshow above for screenshots). This provides real-time access to the synchronisation activity, as well as device information. Highlights include:
